2011 Update & Training Schedule

Just returned from the SHOT Show and saw more than a few things that caught my eye. 

STS, Specialized Tactical Systems, owner Rob Clark has a custom shorty .308 that he's going to be sending my way soon for a little T&E.  It's a standard M4-type carbine, 10-inch, chambered in .308.  I'm looking forward to giving it a run and will let you know the results.

Patrick Smith and his company, Kifaru, had their standard line of amazing gear.  There's also a new low-profile series of duffle bags that I have my eye on.  I get nothing free from Kifaru; everything I own, I buy.  And I'm very proud of that.  Look to see more of Kifaru's gear profiled in my training courses and my articles.

I have tentative training dates for Graham Combat starting in April.  It looks like the east coast will be April and October of this year, and the west coast will be May and November.  I'm still refining the dates and the course structures but look for them to be up here before the end of the week.

Adams Arms Shorty Carbine Upper

I did a class over the past weekend for some special operations personnel, both from the military and one from federal law enforcement.  The focus of the course was, of course, fundamentals, but the course was also "vehicle intensive". 

One of the guys was doing some test & evaluation on the Adams Arms 7-inch upper, chambered in 5.56mm.  I don't know about you but it looks to me like it functions really well...expecially when you're in confined spaces.

I'm enroute to the 2011 SHOT Show on Monday.  I'm planning on meeting with Adams Arms & hoping to get some more infor to you on their carbines.  I'll get some updates out as well on other products and NEW items for 2011.

I've also got some good news coming on the 2011 Graham Combat training calendar, upcoming articles, some do-it-at-home training tips...and maybe a little TV show.
